My college granddaughter sent me an e-mail the other day questioning how any woman could vote for Mr. Romney and Paul Ryan. My reply to her was that women who are opposed to abortion have no concept of what a pregnancy can do: to a teenager, who may have been raped by her father, a neighbor, or a relative, to poor women who already have more children than they can afford to feed, and to women who know they are carriers of a fatal disorder and already have one or more children with the disorder. I have seen all of these situations occur. The idea that an embryo has 14th amdendment rights over even women's health is appalling. I think only women who don't read, only listen to Fox News or their local priest are the ones who will vote for Mr. Romney. Older women must be aware that they will lose their social security, their Medicare, and their Medicaid. These two candidates have always had money and have absolutely no concept of what it is to be poor. It keeps me awake at night thinking of the HORROR or a Romney presidency. We must not allow that to happen.
Poor women, women with a disability, and elderly women are particularly vulnerable if Mr. Romney becomes president. He will take us back to the 1950's. I think he will be even worse than George Bush, if that is possible. He talks about war with Iran. How many more of our sons and daughters will die or be disabled if he becomes president? Of course, his five sons will never go to war; just other mothers' sons and daughters. So we all must vote and get our neighbors to vote and understand the great importance of re-electing President Obama.
Every citizen has right to vote, make sure that before voting select the persons, those who are capable of satisfying your needs.
