Now that Donald Trump is winning major electoral votes, concern about health care in the U.S. should be on every voter's mind. I am amazed that voters cannot see the great danger that lies ahead if he becomes President and is able to appoint a Supreme Court Justice. Are his supporters blind to the fact that he has no government experience, that many of his projects have failed and cost many people their life savings? He has never been poor, has no regard for minorities or blue collar workers and simply knows how to put on a big show. Are our nation's voters so entranced by TV personalities and celebrities that they are not using common sense? Mr.Trump certainly knows how to tap into the anger of those who have had little, have not had a chance in many cases to receive a good education and do not realize that by voting for him, they may lose their Medicare or it will be put on vouchers and the insurance companies will make even greater profits. The corporations will have even more control of the government than they have now and the drug companies will make even greater profits, than they do now.
Any woman who votes for Mr.Trump may someday regret that vote. The Republicans will do everything they can to take away the gains that have been made in the last fifty years. Abortions will have to be done in another country or in a back alley and many women will die. Teenagers will have their lives changed if they become pregnant. Having cared for pregnant teenagers as a physician, I know what can lie ahead for them if they are forced to carry a pregnancy to term. I shudder to think of what will happen to many of these teens. We have almost a million children now who would like to be adopted. Are we going to have even more if the teenagers give up their babies? Pregnant teenagers usually don't get good prenatal care and their diets are often atrocious. The incidence of disabilities in their babies is higher than in babies of adult women. We will all pay a high price for a President Trump.
